Fight Like Heaven Against “Pride” Month: 5 Things You Can Do

In Articles, Business, Drenda On Guard

“Go woke, go broke!” This was my warning to corporations a little more than a year ago in my best-selling book, Fight Like Heaven! A Cultural Guide to Living on Guard. I meant what I said then, and I mean it now. When corporate giants push the LGBTQ agenda to sexualize our children, we must push back with our dollars. As I predicted, the bigger they are, the harder they fall.

We have seen the most notorious offender, Target, lose $12 billion in market capitalization in two weeks after it revealed its 2000+ products for Pride month in mid-May.[1] While the new adult collection included one shocker — a woman’s swimsuit with a “tuck friendly” feature for males — it was the line for children that finally triggered backlash from Americans.

It’s about time.

Rainbow-colored infant onesies, toddler jumpers, and children’s T-shirts with the words “Bien Proud” and “Just Be You and Feel the Love,” as well as Pride leggings, tutus, jumpers, socks, swimwear, sandals, books, and even baby bibs were (and still are) prominently displayed near Target’s entrances.[2]

If these products were not outrageous enough, at least two items in Target’s Pride collection — a pastel “Too Queer for Here” tote bag, and a “We Belong Everywhere” fanny pack — were produced by Erik Carnell of the UK label Abprallen. Carnell is known for his Satanic designs featuring images of Baphomet and messages like “Satan Respects Pronouns” and “Trans Witches for Abortion.”[3]

News of Target’s Pride campaign spread across social media platforms followed by calls for a boycott of the retailer. Even the song “Boycott Target” hit #1 on iTunes.[4] As a result, Target’s share prices have plummeted, sustaining the longest losing streak in nearly five years.[5]

This is what it means to fight like heaven! No longer complacent in the left’s annual hijack of the entire month of June with Pride month, the American people are taking a stand on godly principles and—with their dollars—saying don’t mess with our children!

And what has been Target’s response? Target claimed to have pulled Carnell’s products and moved its Pride inventory to the back of the stores. Its official May 24th press release stated:

Since introducing this year’s collection, we’ve experienced threats impacting our team members’ sense of safety and well-being while at work. Given these volatile circumstances, we are making adjustments to our plans, including removing items that have been at the center of the most significant confrontational behavior. Our focus now is on moving forward with our continuing commitment to the LGBTQIA+ community and standing with them as we celebrate Pride Month and throughout the year.[6]

Interesting. The stores in my area must not have gotten the memo as baby onesies, toddler rompers, and even Carnell’s fanny pack continue to be on display at the front of stores. My bet is that Target is simply lying.

Furthermore, Target is certainly not showing any remorse, making any apologies, or taking any responsibility for its actions. Do you notice how it is blaming us, the ones standing up against the LGBTQ’s propaganda against our children, labeling us as threatening and volatile? Do you see how Target is making the appeal that its team members are the ones in need of protection and not our children who are being bombarded with sexual messages and images wrapped up in rainbow goods and apparel? Of course you do.

Having hit Target where it hurts, what do we do next to ensure a lasting impact on our children and culture when it comes to Pride month?

  1. Keep doing what you’re doing even when June is over! Target may have lost billions, but it is not backing down. As Target continues to “celebrate Pride month throughout the year,” continue to spend your dollars elsewhere. Remember, Target was among the first to allow men to share your daughter’s and granddaughter’s restrooms.
  2. Research all retailers before spending your money to promote LGBTQ organizations and causes, all of which boil down to sexual grooming. Target is but one of the major stores and brands to push Pride this summer. Walmart, Meijer, Kohl’s, Apple, JOANN, Lego, Abercrombie & Fitch, PetSmart, Old Navy, Carter’s, J.Crew, Coach, Vans, Michael’s, Dick’s Nordstrom, Ulta, Sephora, Adidas, Nike, Levi’s, American Eagle, Disney, and Gap are but a few among the many who market Pride collections and/or the agenda in June. Let all of them know that if you try to push evil agendas on us or our kids, you will lose!
  3. Make sure to research your local stores as well. Many seemingly family-friendly shops in my area have LGBTQ-ally stickers on their windows that clearly show you who they are and where they stand.
  4. Stay out of retail stores altogether if you can. Rainbows and Pride are everywhere! My slogan this month has been #timeoutdoorsnotinstores. I’ll be the first to admit that I love to shop and find deals. But as we all know, the things we buy all quickly lose their luster. Instead, I challenge you to take your children, your grandchildren, and/or your loved ones outdoors. Go to parks, swim in lakes and pools, take hikes, play ball, and go bike riding. Take adventures and make memories! I promise you that the time you spend with your family and friends will bring you joy that greatly eclipses anything you could buy.
  5. Intercede for our children. Pray that retail executives have encounters with Jesus and repent. Pray that parents wake up to the LGBTQ agenda and shield their children from the reach of its tentacles at every turn. Pray a hedge of protection around all children that are exposed to the agenda and declare that they are free from all deception in Jesus’s name.

I’ll end by saying, “Well done.” Corporations pushing Pride were counting on your apathy, but you stood up! Continue to fight like heaven, and we will win the war!
