Slow and Steady Wins the Race
“Therefore, if anyone is in Christ, he is a new creation. The old has passed away; behold, the new has come” – Corinthians 5:17.
Slow and steady wins the race!
When a person comes to God, they often think that their lives will take an instant 180-degree turn. To some extent, they are right, there is a change. But it is important for every Christian to remember that God has just begun His work, and His work takes time. Try not to be dismayed when you feel frustrated with your progress. God tells us that He is always working in us. In Philippians, we are told, “… He who began a good work in you will bring it to completion at the day of Jesus Christ.”
Allow God to be your teacher, and don’t judge your success or your failure. Instead think of your faith as if you are walking across a constantly evolving landscape, learning new lessons, enduring challenging hardships, accepting wonderful blessings. God will complete what He started in you. The victory is won through Jesus and through our own steadfast will to seek Him and His grace in all situations.
