How To Be A Light In The Darkness
We live in a world of darkness. It’s time to be lights.
With the current state of our nation, you may be wondering how we, as the body of Christ, can represent God.
How can we illuminate truth to dispel the lies of this world?
How can we be a LIGHT in the darkness?
Gary and I had the honor to be part of the election coverage on the Victory Channel with other respected spiritual leaders. It is heavy on my heart that we need to be the light in the world.
“You are the light of the world. A town built on a hill cannot be hidden.” —–Matthew 5:14 (NIV)
As believers, we are to be a light in the darkness. Now more than ever, we are facing spiritual warfare that goes beyond us as individuals. This war is attacking who we are as the body of Christ.
“One of our weapons as believers is light. We live in the light. Nothing with God is dark. We have the ability to have a revelation.”
— Gary Keesee
We are God’s people. Nothing will keep us from spreading the truth. What is this truth? Jesus Christ is King! We are loved, and we are forgiven!
This truth sets us free from fear and bondage. The lies of Satan cannot touch us and have no place in our lives.
As believers, we have the authority in the Kingdom of God and through the Word of God to move forward in the right direction.
“No weapon forged against you will prevail, and you will refute every tongue that accuses you. This is the heritage of the servants of the Lord, and this is their vindication from me,” declares the Lord.”
God is our breakthrough. He is our rock. You can trust the Word of God.
Jesus is the LIGHT, and He lives in us.
“When Jesus spoke again to the people, he said, ‘I am the light of the world. Whoever follows me will never walk in darkness, but will have the light of life.'”
—John 8:12, NIV
When we walk in the light, it is impossible for us to be steered in the wrong direction. We are able to clearly see the trials and tribulations we are facing as well as those taking place in our nation. Now it the time to take a stand. We must take a stand and shed a light!
Pray and seek wisdom.
When the darkness is overwhelming, talk to God. He wants us to rely on Him and trust Him.
“If any of you lacks wisdom, you should ask God, who gives generously to all without finding fault, and it will be given to you.”
—James 1:5 (NIV)
Gary and I strive to stay in tune with the Holy Spirit. We need to be lights not only in the public eye but also in our everyday lives.
What is happening in our culture is not too difficult for God to handle. Nothing and no one can stop the light from exposing the lies of this world.
When we seek understanding from the Holy Spirit, we will receive peace and wisdom on how to move forward.
We must pray for the lost in our families, our friends, and our nation.
I pray for the Lion of Judah, Jesus, to ROAR in this nation! Let the blind see! Let the deaf begin to hear! Let those who are spiritually asleep awaken!
Let us stand on the Word of God regardless of what happens.
Here is the truth:
Whatever is hidden in darkness will come to light.
Whatever needs to be uncovered will be uncovered.
So, how can you be a light in the darkness? Seek God, and allow His light to shine through you.
