Three Secrets to Accomplish Your Purpose

Are you ready to step out into the uncomfortable? Are you prepared to fulfill your destiny? Stepping out of your comfort zone can be intimidating. There’s a reason so many people are stuck in complacency — it’s easy! I want to share three secrets to accomplish your purpose with you! 

 

You won’t experience change without pressure.

Going through the motions of life won’t get you to victory. Victory requires fight! You have to want to reach your destiny. Don’t sit back and let life just happen! I know so many believers who sit around, waiting on God to move, but as soon as a door opens, they are afraid to take the first step. God will make way for you, but you have to have the courage to walk through it. It’s not going to be easy! But I promise following the plan God has for you will always be worth it. 

God has a plan, but we have to take action. If we sit around and let life pass us by, we won’t accomplish anything for the Kingdom! It’s essential to take some time to yourself or with your spouse to pray about the direction you are headed and seek the Lord’s plan. But, don’t let that be your only step. When God speaks, move. When an opportunity arises that you have peace about, take it. Don’t wait for every little thing to be perfect, for everything to be aligned just as you’d hoped it would be until you take action.

Life is messy! It’s most likely not going to be a perfect situation! 

Be ready to move when God is. Satan wants to keep you from the amazing plan God has for your life. Don’t let him! Keep pursuing God. My husband, Gary, often talks about Christians who live with what he refers to as a “mailbox mentality” in their finances. They want God to show up by putting a check in their mailbox, with no preparation or effort on their end. Now, God will always fund His assignments. If He is calling you to something, He will also pay for it. But there is a difference between God supporting your assignments and you getting a check in the mail “just because.” 

Too often, believers have this sort of a “mailbox mentality” with their destiny. They want to experience the plan God has for them, but they are too afraid to step out in faith and take that first step. They want everything to be perfect and go exactly according to their expectations. But that’s not reality! We have to be ready to get into the mess of life, get our hands dirty, and address the hard stuff. 

I want you to experience your destiny. There is nothing better than living out the plan God has designed you for! I want to share with you three secrets on how you can accomplish your purpose. It’s time to live out your purpose! 

 

1. Be true to yourself.

You have to be true to yourself throughout your journey. Don’t forget to thank God for what He’s given you. What did you promise God you would do? Keep that as your focus. It’s easy to lose sight of God when things start going well. We may even start to think we’ve done this on our own and begin to rely on ourselves. Remind yourself of the times when it wasn’t so great, how you sought God, and how He brought you out of it. 

As a believer, we need to live with integrity. Keep Jesus as your top priority in life! Set an example for your peers and the younger generation. They are looking for hope and answers! The media is constantly telling them how to live and what to believe. They need to know the truth and see us walking out God’s good plans in our lives. 

 

2. Stick with the Vision.

God has an incredible plan for your life. His plan will look different for each person, but He designed you to fit perfectly into the unique purpose He has destined for you. You will always be happiest when you are following God’s plan! 

The first step is to take the leap of faith and start walking out the plan God has for you. Once you take that initial step, the enemy won’t just stop fighting you! You will face discouragement and distractions along the way. Here’s a tip: Say “yes” to everything God has told you, and say “no” to everything else. It might be hard to give up some things. Sometimes it’s people that we have to leave behind to continue on the path God has for us. It’s hard to cut people out, but friends play an essential role in our lives. 

If you want to know where you are headed in life, look at your five closest friends. You will become like the people you surround yourself with! Are they people you want to become like? If not, evaluate how you spend your time and who you spend it with. 

 

3. Guard your heart

What do you allow to influence your life? Are you dwelling on the Word of God, or are you letting the media and our culture influence you? The Bible tells us in Philippians 4 to keep our eyes on what is right. Don’t let the world’s lure distract you from your destiny. 

Finally, brothers and sisters, whatever is true, whatever is noble, whatever is right, whatever is pure, whatever is lovely, whatever is admirable—if anything is excellent or praiseworthy—think about such things.” — Philippians 4:8, NIV. 

Don’t let the enemy’s lies keep you from what God has for you! 

You can know what is in your heart based on what you say with your mouth. The mouth will produce what you dwell on! If you don’t believe you are capable of success, then you won’t have any. You have to believe that you can accomplish all God has in store for you! 

No matter what has happened in your past, keep going. Keep fighting! Watch out for negative influence on your life, guard your heart, and pursue what God is calling you to. 

I can do all this through him who gives me strength.” — Philippians 4:13, NIV. 

God will be with you every step of the way. You can do this! Walk out the amazing destiny God has in store for you. 

God’s plan for your life is so good. I want to see you reach the incredible destiny He has for you! Don’t let fear hold you back. Step out and faith and follow the plan God has for you.
