Don’t Let the Enemy Stop You
Do you have dreams or visions for your life that you’re tempted to give up on?
It’s not time to quit.
God has something great He wants you to accomplish.
But you have an enemy that wants to stop you.
The Bible says in 1 Peter 5:8 that the enemy prowls around like a roaring lion looking for someone to devour.
Spirits and demonic forces are real, and you have an enemy that wants to distract you, deceive you, and discourage you.
But you can resist the devil and his lies.
Ephesians 6:10-17 says,
Finally, be strong in the Lord and in his mighty power. Put on the full armor of God, so that you can take your stand against the devil’s schemes. For our struggle is not against flesh and blood, but against the rulers, against the authorities, against the powers of this dark world and against the spiritual forces of evil in the heavenly realms. Therefore put on the full armor of God, so that when the day of evil comes, you may be able to stand your ground, and after you have done everything, to stand. Stand firm then, with the belt of truth buckled around your waist, with the breastplate of righteousness in place, and with your feet fitted with the readiness that comes from the gospel of peace. In addition to all this, take up the shield of faith, with which you can extinguish all the flaming arrows of the evil one. Take the helmet of salvation and the sword of the Spirit, which is the word of God.
You can stand your ground, and defeat the enemy.
God has already given you everything you need to fight back—to resist the enemy and his lies.
You just need to put on the full armor of God and use the weapons He’s given you.
Make sure you have a faith picture.
Know in your heart what the Word of God says about you and your situation.
Spend time in His Word and hear His voice.
He has instructions and encouragement to give you!
Reject anything that doesn’t look like what God said.
Are you listening to the enemy’s voice of defeat, or to God’s voice of victory?
Keep the Word in your heart and take every thought captive.
Cast down every thought that doesn’t match what God said and every lying spirit.
Stay in agreement with what heaven says about you and your situation.
Exercise your spiritual authority! Fight!
Stand boldly on the promise that God is for you and no one and no thing can stand against you!
Stay the course! Don’t let discouragement set in. Persevere with the Word! Stay on guard!
The enemy will not give up his efforts.
He will keep trying to steal your promises, but God is always faithful.
God and His Word are more powerful than any fiery darts the enemy can possibly send your way!
Don’t let the enemy convince you that you can’t recover from past mistakes.
God wants to see you get back up and fight, and so do I!
You’re called to live a life that’s set apart.
You can do this.
Keep fighting for the goal God has for you.
