Complete the Circle of Faith
Faith is more than knowing what God’s Word says. You can hear a promise, agree that it is true, and even feel encouraged by it, but there comes a point when what you believe has to influence what you say and what you do. God never intended His Word to remain information in our minds. He wants it to become the foundation for how we live.
The good news is that God does not expect you to accomplish everything in your own strength. His grace is His ability working through you. You do not have to be the smartest, the most talented, the most experienced, or the person who has everything figured out before God can work through your life. When you trust Him, His grace equips you to do what He has called you to do.
Faith begins with hearing God, but it does not stop there. We hear the Word of God. We believe the Word of God. We speak the Word of God. Then we act on the Word of God. When those pieces come together, faith moves from something we simply know into something we actually live.
“We hear the Word of God. We believe the Word of God. We speak the Word of God. We act on the Word of God.”

Trust God’s Ability Working Through You
It is easy to look at an opportunity God places in front of you and immediately begin measuring yourself against it. You may think you do not know enough, have enough experience, possess the right connections, or have what it takes to succeed. When we focus only on our natural ability, our limitations can quickly become reasons to stay where we are.
But God’s grace changes the equation. Second Corinthians 9:8 (NIV) says, “And God is able to bless you abundantly, so that in all things at all times, having all that you need, you will abound in every good work.” His grace provides what you need to accomplish what He has placed before you. Instead of depending entirely on your own strength, you can rely on His ability working through you.
That does not mean preparation, wisdom, or growth are unimportant. It means your confidence does not have to rest in whether you believe you are naturally qualified enough. God can give you wisdom you did not have before, open doors you could not open yourself, and equip you for assignments that once seemed beyond your ability. When He calls you forward, your first response does not have to be, “Can I do this?” You can begin asking, “What can God do through me as I trust Him?”
Hear the Word and Choose to Believe It
Faith begins with what you hear. God has given us His Word so we do not have to build our lives around circumstances, opinions, or whatever we happen to feel in a particular moment. His Word gives us something unchanging to stand on, but hearing it alone is not enough. We must decide that what God says is true and worthy of our trust.
There is a difference between knowing what Scripture says and believing that it applies to your life. You may know that God provides, but when you face a financial need, you still have to decide whether you will trust Him. You may know that God gives wisdom, but when you are facing a decision you cannot solve on your own, you still have to believe He will lead you. Every promise eventually brings us to the same question: Will I take God at His Word?
Believing God does not mean pretending circumstances do not exist. Faith looks honestly at what is happening and then chooses to give God’s Word greater authority than what the circumstances appear to be saying. That decision becomes the foundation for everything that comes next.
“You don’t have to be the smartest, the brightest, the best. God’s grace, His ability, makes you those things.”

Speak in Agreement With God
What you truly believe will eventually affect the way you speak. When God gives you a promise, your words should begin agreeing with what He has said rather than continually reinforcing fear, defeat, or limitation. Speaking the Word is not about ignoring reality. It is about deciding which truth will have the final say in your heart.
Our words often reveal where our confidence is placed. We can spend all day talking about why something will never work, everything that could go wrong, and all the reasons we are not capable, and then wonder why fear continues growing. But when we begin filling our hearts with God’s Word, our language can begin to change. Instead of constantly repeating the problem, we remind ourselves of the promise. Instead of declaring what we cannot do, we acknowledge the grace and ability God provides.
This is why hearing and believing are so important. Speaking God’s Word is not an empty formula. It flows from a heart that has decided God is trustworthy. As you continue hearing His Word and allowing it to shape what you believe, your words begin reflecting faith instead of fear.
Faith Requires Action
There is another step that cannot be left out. Faith eventually requires action. You can hear God’s Word, believe it, and speak it, but there will come a moment when you have to respond to what God has said. Drenda describes this as completing the circle of faith because genuine belief eventually changes what we do.
James 2:17 (NIV) says, “In the same way, faith by itself, if it is not accompanied by action, is dead.” Action is not an attempt to earn God’s promises. It is the natural response of someone who believes Him. If you believe God is directing you toward an opportunity, there may be an application you need to submit, a conversation you need to have, or a step you need to take. If you believe He is leading you to give, forgive, serve, start something, or change direction, faith responds with obedience.
Sometimes we wait for every question to be answered before we move, but faith often requires taking the next step while continuing to trust God with what we cannot yet see. You may not know how the entire situation will unfold, but you can obey what He has already shown you. The next step may seem small, but obedience gives your faith somewhere to go.
“There’s always an action involved with it. And that is the complete circle of faith.”

Take God at His Word
Faith becomes powerful when it moves beyond something we talk about and becomes the way we live. We hear God’s Word because we need to know what He has said. We believe His Word because we trust the One who spoke it. We speak His Word because we choose to agree with His truth. Then we act on His Word because genuine faith produces obedience.
You may not feel like the smartest, strongest, or most qualified person for what is ahead of you, and you do not have to be. God’s grace is available. His ability can work through you, giving you what you need to accomplish what He has called you to do.
So when God speaks, do not stop at hearing. Believe Him. Speak in agreement with Him. Take the step He puts in front of you, and trust His grace to meet you there.
Complete the circle of faith, and take God at His Word.
